| We have two
kind of local wine: the wines produced in the Cinque Terre and
those produced in the colli of Luni: |
|
The Cinque Terre is a white wine with Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC)
and it's originated from Bosco, Vermentino and Albarola vine, typical of the province of La Spezia in the localities of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso: the "Cinque
Terre". |
|
Through the separate production of the grapes come from some historical
zones, always thought of particular vocation, the wines of the "Coasts" are born:
Costa de Campu of Manarola, Costa di Sera of Riomaggiore,
Costa dá Posa of Volastra. They represent the fruit of a careful selection
born from the will to transfer in the wine, exalting them, the characteristic
of their microclimate and the light differences in the percentages of composition of
grapes. |
|
The Sciacchetrà is born from the same grapes of the dry white
wine, left for long time drying on the stands. The withering
takes place in shadow, sheltering from the sun the concentration of sugars is obtained without
compromise the total balance of the wine, recognized Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC)
(29 D.P.R. May 1973)
|
The wines of Colli di Luni have ancient origins, seem that they were
Etruschi, Ligurian and Roman to cultivate the grapes in the
region of Luni, which extend from hills to the feet of the Apuane
Alps until the Ligurian Sea.
In the store are present two companies manufacturers: Cantine Lunae
and Monticello.
There are several chioce of wines: from the classic Vermentino DOC, to multiple red wines
such as the Niccolò V, the Auxo, the Horae Gulf of Poets IGT, the
Rupestro.
